Session recordings contain particularly sensitive personal data as they include the student's voice and, where applicable, their image. They are handled with an appropriate level of protection and are not shared with third parties except where legally required. The student may request deletion of their recordings at any time, without prejudice to Serika Sensei retaining a minimal copy for legal defense purposes during the applicable statute-of-limitations period.
Data will be retained for as long as the contractual relationship lasts and, thereafter, for the legal tax and commercial statute-of-limitations periods that apply. Class recordings are retained for one (1) week after the session, after which they are deleted, unless the student requests earlier deletion or Serika Sensei is required to retain a copy for legal defense purposes.
To deliver the Service, Serika Sensei relies on the following providers, which may have access to certain personal data as data processors: Stripe (payments), Hostinger (web hosting), Skool (private community), Google Meet (video calls), Calendly (bookings), Vimeo (video hosting), AssemblyAI (audio transcription), and Anthropic (the AI engine behind the "Ask Serika" assistant). Each provider processes data in accordance with its own privacy policies.
Serika Sensei does not sell personal data to third parties and does not share personal data with advertisers, marketers, or data brokers. Personal data is only shared with the service providers listed above, strictly to the extent necessary to deliver the Service.
Since Serika Sensei operates from Japan and uses technology providers located in various countries (including, among others, the United States), personal data may be transferred internationally. Appropriate safeguards available under applicable law will be adopted to protect such data during these transfers.
Regardless of their country of residence, students may exercise, at any time, their rights of access, rectification, deletion, objection, restriction of processing, and data portability by writing to info.serikasensei@gmail.com. Students residing in the European Union also have the rights recognized under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of their country.
The Service is intended for individuals over 18 years of age. Should a minor wish to participate, the express consent and supervision of their legal guardian will be required.
This website does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. It only uses strictly necessary technical cookies required for the site and embedded third-party services (such as the Stripe checkout, Google Meet, Calendly, or Skool) to function correctly. These third-party services may set their own cookies, governed by their own respective cookie and privacy policies.
If Serika Sensei introduces analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) or advertising cookies (such as the Meta or TikTok pixel) in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly and a cookie consent banner will be implemented, allowing visitors to accept or decline non-essential cookies before they are set.
Serika Sensei applies reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data (credentials kept outside the server's public folder, secrets managed securely, restricted access to protected materials), without this guaranteeing absolute security against unauthorized access.
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. The date of the last update is indicated at the beginning of the document.
